About Ludwig
Ludwig Tan is an Assistant Professor at the English Language & Literature Academic Group, National Institute of Education. He completed his PhD in Linguistics (Syntax) at the University of Cambridge in 2007 on the Nanyang Technological University–National Institute of Education Overseas Graduate Scholarship. His academic interests include the syntax of Singapore English, phonetics, and sociolinguistics. Ludwig has a keen interest in English grammar and usage, and co-authored English Grammar FAQs: Questions Teachers and Students Frequently Ask (2008). He is also a prizewinning amateur calligrapher (Western calligraphy), and was co-editor of Dance of the Pen, published in the UK in 2002 as a numbered limited edition.
