About Rani
Rani Rubdy teaches at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She served as Director of the Institute for English Language Education at Assumption University, Bangkok and has taught at the National University of Singapore and the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages, Hyderabad, India. Her teaching and research interests include second language teacher education, classroom discourse, the management of educational innovation, language planning and policy issues and world Englishes. She has published in English Language Teaching Journal, Applied Linguistics, TESOL Quarterly, SYSTEM, World Englishes and RELC Journal and is co-editor of the book, English in the World: Global Roles, Global Rules (Continuum, 2006).
