About Seetha
Dr Seetha Lakshmi is an Assistant Professor of Asian Languages and Cultures (academic group) at the National Institute of Education, Singapore. She did her PhD at the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore on Mass Media and Language Development. She has published several books and articles on Tamil Education in Singapore and Standard Spoken Tamil. She won the Golden Point Award in 1995 and the second prize in the same competition in 1997 for her short stories. She has been involved in research projects at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice, National Institute of Education.
