Call for Proposals: COMET 2017 Abstract Deadline Extended (Jan. 31, 2017)

The deadline for proposals for COMET 2017 has been extended for two more weeks through January 31, 2017. Proposals include panels, roundtables, and individual presentations (oral or poster). Ellen Barton, Ph.D. (Wayne State University), Rita Charon, M.D., Ph.D. (Columbia University) and Gary Kreps, Ph.D. (George Mason University) are the plenary speakers. Please visit the COMET 2017 speakers’ webpage for more information about each of them.

Enrollment is now open for the Post-COMET Masterclass, “Engaging Qualitatively with Healthcare Discourse Data.” It is being led by Srikant Sarangi, who is the Director of the Danish Institute of Humanities and Medicine (DIHM) at Aalborg University, Denmark and founding organizer of the COMET conference. The class will occur on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on the campus of IUPUI. Please visit the Post-COMET Masterclass webpage for more information.
